In my recent study of Moses, the attention to the detail of the shoes Moses wore really struck me in thinking of what shoes I am wearing when I am serving.
Do I show up with my princess slippers on with an attitude of being served verses serving others? Do I show up in the sandals of a shepherd with all sorts of ideas on how and why things should be done a certain way? Or do I show up with the bare feet of a servant, completely humble ready to do whatever is needed, in the manner it is asked.
I think that it is safe to say that I have probably acted as a princess, shepherd, and a servant. This visual though helps me to determine to take my shoes off for when we are serving God, we are on holy ground, and it deserves the humility of a servant.
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 NLT
If you are not connected to our Galaxy Digital site and the serving opportunities there, I would love to talk to you. Please pray for the Board Retreat this week!
